Distance

The working range for the Physen H1 is 1000 feet, which is around 300 meters. This distance is out in the open and free of any objects. Keep this in mind because the more objects between the push button and the chime, the lower the actual working range.

Remember, various objects can interfere with wireless communication, such as; walls, doors, electrical items, cables, and pipe-work! It is a battle to keep these wireless devices working, but this wireless doorbell has a powerful transmitter.

Having said that, it is more than enough for the vast majority of houses.

Melodies

The Physen H1 has 52 different chimes, and you can set a different tone to each push button, which makes it easier to know which door button has just been pressed.

Yes – it does have the classic ‘ding dong’ ringtone if your ears cannot take the various musical tones!

Volume-wise, the Physen H1 has 4 different levels, ranging from 30dB to 110dB, which is as loud as you need it!

Weather Proof

The Physen H1 push button is rated IP55, which means it has high protection against water spray, making it a fantastic choice for a waterproof wireless doorbell. It has also made it onto our list of the best cold weather wireless doorbells.

If you live in a cold climate, the Physen H1 is a great choice too! The working temperature range is -30℃-70℃, which I am sure will cover even the harshest temperature ranges!

Installation

Installation is easy.

You can either screw in the push button or stick it down with adhesive tape.

The chime is plugged into a wall socket.

Matching the push button to the chime is also easy. Just follow these simple instructions:

1. Press the music control button for around 10 seconds. The receiver will make a ‘ding’ sound, and the LED will flash.

2. As soon as you have selected the music you want, press the volume button on the receiver(chime) for 5-7 seconds until you head the ‘ding.’

3. As soon as the LED flashes, you need to press the push button (transmitter). If you hear the tune you selected, it has worked!

Warranty

The Physen H1 comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 1-year warranty.

Not only does that give you peace of mind if you decide to send it back within 30 days, you know the hardware is up to the task when they give you a 1-year warranty too!

Conclusion

We love the Physen H1 because it is a jack of all trades!

Waterproof – Check

Cold Weather Proof – Check

Expandable – Check

Warranty – Check

The only thing that lets it down, in my opinion, is the lack of a decent LED. Yes, it has an LED, but it doesn’t illuminate enough to alert you to a visitor. It is not a good solution if you are hard of hearing.

After an excellent wireless doorbell and you are deaf or hard of hearing, there are some solutions out there for you.

It is easily one of the top-rated wireless doorbells available!

Have you got the Physen H1? Are you happy with your choice, or do you have any issues with it? We would love to hear from you, so please contact us or leave a reply below.

  1. These doorbells are lousy. Every month or so they lose connectivity and have to be reset. You don’t realize that until someone asks why you didn’t answer the door. Did you notice there is no place to rate this doorbell on this site even though it has a 4 star rating?

The process for matching the chimes to the receivers should be the same for each push button so I imagine you have already tried that. It could possibly be that you have a faulty push button.

I recommend contacting Physen on service@physen.net to see if they can provide any assistance.

      Kind regards

  3. Hi,
The battery had to be changed in the doorbell and since then I am unable to sync the transmitter and receiver. So frustrating…..

    • Hi

I would begin by performing a reset on the doorbell unit. To do this, you will need to press the music button on the receiver for 10 seconds. You should hear a ‘chirp’ or a ‘ding’ from the receiver. This will clear the memory.

The next step is to pair the receiver and push button again. First, you will need to select whichever tone you like, then press the volume button for 5-7 seconds. When the blue light flashes, press the doorbell button on the transmitter.

If that does not work then there could be a problem with the transmitter after you changed the batteries.

There could be a number of reasons why it does not work after changing the battery. I am guessing that you used the correct battery, which should be a 12V23A alkaline battery?

It is worth trying another battery too, just in case the battery is faulty.

If you have tried these and it is still not working then contact Physen (service@physen.net) for some assistance.

      Good luck!
